Patrick Hughes Workshop

Passed by Kingsland street while toward London Design Festival, i was catch by a brilliant reverspective painter Patrick Hughes studio the second I look into the window. He was kindly enough to let me and introduced me the whole process of his painting. He said"I used to paint everything in a wrong way and make impossible to possible, for example the side of a rainbow on the floor or a reflection of a boat."Based on his favorite Surrealism artist Rene Magritte,  Patrick developed Magritte style and philosophy into 3D perspective.

Ecology Fashion

Fashion in the future - Ecology

Original Idea

Inspired by Japan Origami, and "The Chronograph Clock"

Some say"life made of time".Time component past, present and future. However, past, present and future still exist even without time. TIME can be TIME when only someone make it count. Each one define time differently, someone define a day by daylight, hours, or meals, journey to school or work.  And the definition changed all the time. We work hard day by day hour by hour, unconsciously we trapped by time.As Dr C Taylor said"time rules and ruins our lives." He sees times as a controller of life. In 2008 he create a big clock names"The Chronograph Clock"He wants to think about the way they experience time.

As a fashion designer we offer choice to people. After looking into the field, i found out that fashion were being over used by humans, too much pollution has been made by producing products, the same time we tried to make our surrounding better, we damage the world we're living in. What we are doing can't be considered as"creative"nor"innovative"but being in a vicious cycle.
In stead of being re-interpreting fashion, the concept in this project is to fold fabric into garment to prevent creating too much cut-out fabric, also projecting pattern and color on the garment instead of dyeing is a good way to reduce the waste of waster and paint.

Nodding Hill again

Apart from the antique and vintage that valuable in portobello road, there a lot of fun on the road side as well when u pay attention on them.
A wall decorated as bookcase on the side of Portobello Road, changed the mood of surroundings. Below is a graffiti on a side road, pay attention on the texture of the wall.

Another interesting graffiti just opposite to "the convenience store fashion"

A decay wall on the way to "pizzaeast", the texture and color look amazing as they've been arranged and designed.
